  1. Review - SPlayer

    3.2 Build 961 (Nov 23, 2009)

This player is amazing! It handles H264 with ease and detects GPU, enable acceleration and still has numerous filters to curtail to your viewing pleasure. It gives all others a run for the Best Player 2009 as it was designed in part with the help of Gabest (MPC-HC), and other leaders in open source video development. Interface blends in perfectly with Windows 7 and gives information as to the current decoder in use for varying video types. Cpu usage is on par with MPC-HC and the Hover over bar on the top of the screen gives easy one click access to audio & video control. English and Chinese languages included. Right click and scroll thru menu options till you see "English" and click if it installs to Chinese. This is a Development release, the Stable is 959. I have found no bugs myself, but wish F.F. would stop posting Beta as a Stable Release without stating it in the description. Some of us trust F.F. to put accurate info and not hose our computers. FYI

  2. Review - The KMPlayer

    2.9.4.1435 (Sep 30, 2009)

Awesome player! One problem, if you close the album art window you cannot find it again. Album art is the default window with all the pictures of your videos and is what makes this unique. Good news is they fixed it and you can download the the new album art file at the forum. Skins for this make bsplayer look like it was written in crayon. All video player developers should look at these skins. Codecs are very configurable and I chose to use sharks codecs and CoreAVC h264 instead of internal and used external audio as well. I can't say enough good things about this player. I have used Mplayer, MPHC, Bsplayer, VLC, WMP, and this is the one for all my HD video needs. Windows 7 never looked better!!

  3. Review - BS.Player

    2.44.1010 Beta (Sep 29, 2009)

Skin is base 1 skin from older versions. The default skin that is installed is the standard representation of a player. Very buggy under Windows 7. Switching from video to radio causes crash. Codecs manager did work and installed them correctly. I gave up on B*** Sh** Player and switched to the new Kmplayer, Screamer, and Foobar. There seems to be a huge trend for all in one software applications failing miserably. So sad.

  4. Review - BS.Player

    2.43.1008 (Sep 22, 2009)

The picture is not of 2.43! This player is very light weight, full featured, and skinnable. Skins are as simple as click and they are installed. All needed codecs are available via download and user is presented with current, missing, and upgradable codecs and asks the user before acting! Adware? What idiot came up with that? Everything FREE nowadays offers to install something. OFFERS!!! You the idiot that clicked YES without reading are really the root of inappropriate and inaccurate reviews. This is the only player I have found to incorporate t.v. tuner and streaming radio. Video quality is better than KMPlayer and on par with Mplayer. Try this player out and I think you will be pleased.

  5. Review - Google Chrome for Windows

    3.0.197.11 Beta (Aug 16, 2009)

Chrome creates a unique ID through which a user can be theoretically identified. Chrome remembers up to the second exactly when the software was installed. Depending on the configuration, each time you put something in the address line, this information is sent to Google to provide suggestions. Depending on the configuration, if you have typed a false address in the adress bar, this is sent to Google and you get an error message from Google's servers. Depending on the configuration, details about crashes or failures are sent Google's servers. RLZ-Tracking Chrome-function transmits information in encoded form to Google, for example, when and where Chrome has been downloaded. Chrome installs a updater, which loads at every Windows in background. URL-Tracker calls depending on the configuration five seconds after launch the Google homepage opens in background. This is the worlds largest tracking and privacy cookie in the history of spyware wrapped into an innovative and feature rich package. Use SRWare's Iron browser, all the next generation features and absolutely non of the privacy/tracking garbage. It even features an updated webkit and java engine making it faster than Chrome!!
