I'm stunned that Amazon is not listed in among the "...four centers of gravity emerging in the complex and semi-defined social Web services field..."
Amazon and their AWS customers are WAY ahead of everyone listed. The Google App Engine (a mere toy by comparison) was ported within hours to the Amazon Elastic Computing Cloud. Amazon's Simple Storage Service has been around (in real life, not marketing hype) longer than anything listed.
Amazon has been living the web services way for years, in ways that are meaningful to those of us who mash up apps. Meanwhile everyone else listed has only given us powerpoint slides and python-only-no-sockets toys. Many existing social tools like Twitter quietly leverage Amazon Web Services to build and grow their businesses.
Don't get me wrong: It's a great trend. But Amazon is very clearly the leader of this trend, already generations ahead of those listed.
