Getting a virus warning from crappy NAV that lists it as having bloodhound.overpacked.
    Just FYI to the devs.
Chose 3 since it's the middle of the orad and I have yet to try it and can't since NAV deleted it.

  2. Review - Maxthon (v2)

    2.0.1.6526 Beta 4 (Feb 5, 2007)

I also had the loss of my favorites but I used the import to at least get my old IE favorites back. I hate to have lost my newer ones since I began using 2.0.
If it wasn't for this, it would have 5 stars. This is still the best browser. Firefox and IE7 have a lot of catching up to do.

  3. Review - avast! Home

    4.6.744 (Dec 22, 2005)

I've been using Avast for about 2 years now, after the intial install, I've never had to install a newer version, it takes care of it's self. I haven't had any issues or outbreaks of anykind. My wife, has clicked some of those "You have a virus" windows which attempted to install the malware. Lukily, it didn't get through. What makes Avast stand out is the fact that when it detects something, it alerts you with a human voice as well as a popup. This helps distinguish it from those realistic looking trojans. I love it.

  4. Comment - Lower income Tennessee residents to get free cell phones

    4.6.744 (Aug 15, 2008 - 11:30 AM)

I live in Tennessee and have a cousin who hasn't worked in years due to her husband having legitimate back issues. They have 3 kids the youngest of which is 13. So, they would fit this low income bracket as described above. They had a 50"or so LCD with surround sound, 4 computers and each had a cell. I have a good paying job (for the area)and two phones but pay all my taxes and stuff and am watching a 14 year old TV with no surround sound and only one PC. I also have five kids and we are single income. I really don't think our "poor" suffer worse than other countries but in fact are on the same level as lower middle class in other countries. Our perception of "suffering" and "poor" in this country is skewed. This article is a company doing it and not a government handout which that's perfectly fine with me. Even if it is because the company wishes to do good for the people, it is still a tax write-off but that is what i would call a good reason to have tax write-offs.
Democrats have done more to devide this country than unite it than any other organization in existence. They say the poor get poorer and the rich get richer. From how I see it, our poor are getting richer also. if the rich get richer because of hard work and legal, ethical work ethics than by all means, let them get richer, that's what helped build our country. They pay a big chuck of taxes. I pay more than I would like, our stupid local government just upped our sales tax which is now at 10%. That doesn't help anyone but if that's all we paid, no FICA, Income, etc. then I'd be all for it.
What democrats don't understand is that the more they tax, the more incentive for companies to move out to some place where labor and taxes are cheaper. You may say they have no loyalty but running a business is a lot of work and with all the legal issues with labor and cost battles to make a profit, I'm surprised we have as many companies still here but keep raising there taxes and overhead then no one will have a job, rich or poor. Then who will pay for all the handouts? Talk about national debt?
I don’t care to be rich, I just want to be able to make a comfortable living and take care of my family. That’s getting harder and harder to do.

  5. Comment - MS: $4,000 for Daylight Saving Fix

    4.6.744 (Mar 1, 2007 - 9:41 AM)

This has been a great post! I actually read the whole thing.

Anyway, Dan-o had it, just use the free utilities MS put out which works on the unsupported Windows 2000 varieties (at least SP4) and don't pay the $4000. If you call your self a Sys Admin or something remotly similar, you should be able to accomplish this. If not, then maybe you should fork over the $4k and sleep tight on Sunday night.

Don't forget to set your clock ahead one hour.
