10.0.1.218 Beta (May 15, 2008)
It is a night and day difference performance wise. I could figure out why Flash 9 could have trouble keeping up when playing a silly little 320x240 video.
v24 RC6.2 (Jan 18, 2008)
Even if the extra features are useless to you the stability is worth the flash to anyone. Put this firmware on your WRT54 and it will be the last time you ever have to power cycle. :) I have been running DD-WRT for years and have literally NEVER had to power cycle. With the OEM firmware it was a weekly event. Oh and a persistent DHCP lease table could be useful to just about anyone too.

Nikkie, You have to install FFmpeg to download YouTube videos. To get the iPod to eject you have to hold s*** and then click the X but keep holding s*** until you see the iPod go back to the menu. The nag screen only comes up after a fresh install or an upgrade. Don't give up, trust me, it is worth it. The dev is also very responsive to requests. He has added about 3 things for me. Donate! I did.
Beta 49 (Jun 8, 2007)
This software is great. I have tried many iTunes replacement programs and this is the best one yet. And it is free (I did donate though). I actually like the way iTunes has the columns for Genre, Artist and Album. Floola keeps this interface. I also rely heavily on SmartPlaylists which a lot of other iTunes alternatives don't handle well. Floola has good smartplaylist support. Floola is a single exe so you don't need to install it. Floola's settings are stored on the iPod so your settings travel with you. Floola is fast, it starts almost instantly unlike iTunes. I can finally uninstall iTunes for good!

Yes try it again. The last beta I tried shouldn't have even been called an alpha. This one is very usable. It is very basic right now. I have always wanted to be more organized but couldn't stand using Outlook for my email and didn't want to use two clients so I just never kept a calendar. I can't wait to see where they take this! I would love to give it a 5 but at this stage it is very very basic. But in some ways basic can be a good thing.

Do we know why? What a stupid title. Because it is an amazing OS that for some reason wasn't attacked by the media the way every other OS MS has released in the past has.

The iPhone and Touch blow chuncks as a dedicated MP3 player. The touch screen is such a pain in the butt to use when your trying to drive. You can use most functions on a classic without even looking at the screen. If your using it with headphones it is fine. But using it in the car drives me nuts. I just replaced my 4th gen Classic with a 5th gen Nano. The old classic was on it's second battery and harddrive. The disk was starting to go again so I figured I would go solid state. I hate the color screen though. The old monochrome screen was so much easier to see and was always on. I guess if you don't have an iPhone then a Touch may be a good choice. But for me there is no replacement for the good old click wheel.

I need my secret decoder ring to figure out that post. Hahaha.

I suspect there are a few people around here that think we are talking about tab previews when hovering over a tab in the browser when really we are talking about previews on the taskbar. These people probably aren't running Win7 and have no clue. Any "user" is going to use Aero Peek unless they go out of their way to turn Aero off. If anything a "user" will use it more then a "geek" because geeks tend to turn Aero off because they think it is bloat. I enjoy being able to click FF on the taskbar and then middle click on all tabs I want to dispose of without bringing it to the foreground.

The latest nightly builds have Aero Peek and Jump lists.
