2008r3c Beta (Nov 10, 2008)
Great package, been a fan for years
uBook is why I laugh at one trick pony readers like the Kindle. uBook provides a better experience in a tool I can multi-task with.
Keep up the great work!
3.8 (3.7.5 Build 1292) Beta (Sep 30, 2008)
This is wonderful tool. I've been a registered user for years.
It's one of those tools that just works. Easy interface both to use and on the eyes (it's not ugly or overloaded with eye-candy).
Stable as a rock for days and weeks on end.

yeah, this is good 'cause we're all so fond of telemarkerters that we want them calling us as we're shopping....
salespeople- I'm all for good leads, they are indeed the best sales tool, next to a good product. But if my phone rings while I'm filling out a customer info page, and it's about the product I'm currently looking at, I will do my very best to source it from a different vendor than the one on the phone.

I won't speak towards the fights below- I will offer my direct experience with this tool.
I finally got tagged by one of the java trojans this week. Random slowness & attempts to open various ips in the 85. range meant to be adverts of some sort. One of the Vundo varients.
Was unable to clean with ad-aware, which did not find a thing or spybot, which found parts of it, but was unable to clean it. Nod32 3.0 never alerted. Manual instructions for cleaning were mostly accurate, but not overall helpfull.
MBAM found it, and a second that hadn't even been hinted at prior to it's scan. Cleaned everything with two reboots.
In short- it found & cleaned, for free.
May not be perfect, but it worked for me...

I've been reading ebooks for years, and am still a fan of the iPAQ/uBook combination, having moved from a 1915 to an e210.
Epaper is nice, but my screen is color & backlit. And the device is a multi-tasker, not a one trick pony like the kindle.

kittens /must/ be acquired in pairs for safety reasons....
better to have them abuse each other than the curtains, pants, hands....

"not only should Windows users be given the option to choose their browsers during setup, but to do so every time they turn their machines on."
*laughing*
Right....that won't annoy anyone.
Hey, Google: We do have this already. There's this thing called the "internet"...which is literally chock full of nifty browsers for every use, mindset, and intent. Using this "internet", we can choose, at *any* time what browser we want to use.
Kewl, huh?
Focus on making yours better and maybe I'll start using it more often. :)
^^^was exactly what I was going to type.....

Elegant, usable, super-portable and functional. Nice work yet again Apple.

There, fixed it for ya.....

iPAQ+uBook
I think this is a better combination and more useable than a single-tasker like the Kindle.
may not be fancy ePaper, but it's color & backlit....
any format, any time, from any source...
