1.0 Beta 1 (Feb 27, 2006)
I'm the author and just wanted to respond - the program is still in the early stages (I would've designated it alpha quality, but decided that it was past that). The interface will go through lots of work, but I just wanted to get it out the door. Registry defragmentation won't do anything (XP automatically defrags registry hives, and you can manually do it with the PageDefrag utility from Sysinternals for NT4 and 2000). I made this since I was annoyed by how my old laptop's registry added up to 50 megs and keeps growing steadily, and registry hives take up RAM, and so I wanted to make an easier utility than MS's DuReg which is a CLI app.

What's funny about this program is that Windows does the exact same thing automatically, so there's no point to it at all. If you really want to change the priorities of processes on your system manually, just use the built-in windows task manager.

This app will actually slow down your machine, due to the fact that to "free up" memory, it simply fills up system ram, which forces Windows to swap out apps to the pagefile. While this does end in more free physical memory, many running programs have to be loaded back into ram from the pagefile (on the hard disk). Windows does all of this automatically, and this program is totally useless except for extremely rare situations where you *need* to swap out your apps. This program is a pure scam.

You know something's wrong if you have to select the type of operating system you use within the program lol
1.2 (Mar 31, 2005)
They've now packed there executable files to try to hide cleartext symbols of the stolen code, and then posted a comparison pic on their site showing that their executable doesn't match PearPC's lol (hmm I wonder why not? haha). Also they raised the price from $50 to $100. This just keeps getting worse...
I have 3 releases of CherryOS on my site that I use for comparison:
