I was a bit sckeptical with this Advanced WindowsCare from IOBit.
Lets be blunt here, it claims it can do a lot of good stuff, but if it does it to your PC and reduces your PC to a door stop, then it is totally worthless. That was my doubtful approach to using it.
I made an "image" of my hard drive (just to be on the safe side, if anything happened) and installed Advanced WindowsCare (AWC) from IOBits.
After cautiously running each module (and viewing the "problems" it found), letting it "fix" those problems, I have to admit that my sckepticism was not warranted.
The program functions as they say it does ... it WORKS.
I am NOT paid to endorse this product and I am in no way connected to the company, however, when a piece of software functions properly, it needs to get the accolades it deserves.
Cheers
2.8.0 Build 425.2 Beta (May 25, 2007)
Great application, one of the best.
Keep up the good work.
I was concerned when I couldn't find their domain name, however, I am pleased that the project is continuing.
Highly recommend this application.
2.54 Beta (Jun 8, 2006)
Acoustica seem to know how to write GOOD applications, and this is another one of their excellent programs.
It is one of the best, with intuitive and sensible GUI.
e.g. if you want to put an image on a label (disc or front insert) and the particular image would be grainy, the program will assit you in creating the label in a much better format, and the image will not be grainy, in the final printing.
Highly recommended.
1.1 Build 18 (Apr 17, 2006)
I have tried four other programs like this, and Spin It Again is away the best one I have tried.
Yes, it is on the expensive side, but that is relative..IMHO.
With 100,s of LP's and 45's in my collection it did an excellent jpb of transferring them to CD and/or MP3's.(Although I am not yet finished)
Yes it takes getting used to how it does what it does, and I had to ask them several questions. The customer support was very good.
Pros
-the wizard to set recording levels
-the program REALLY can recognize tracks (99% of the time)
-it REALLY does and excellent job to remove pops and clicks form vinyl recordings.
CONS
-if you are used to using Easy Creator, you need to read the manual and pay attention to the tutorials on their web page.
-with their "trial" version you get only three(3) opportunities to use the software, it is not based on time, like most of the compitition. So you need to get to know the application in a hurry.
Overall, I would rate this program highly and recommend it to those who value their "old" vinyl recordings and want to keep listening to them on CD or MP3 format.
2.7.4 Build 290 Beta (Dec 26, 2005)
I will admit that I have NOT tried ALL of this genre of software, that is available. Therefore, this is not a comparision with any other similiar software.
PROS
1.It is fast.
2.It is easy to learn.
3.It is a small application to install.
CONS
1 It IS beta, so be prepared for some surprises.
2. It crashes (a lot) with Windows XP SP2.
When they get the bugs all worked out, it should become a very good application for cataloging of CD's and DVD's
ADDENDUM
I have been testing/using this program for the past few days, and to be fair I wanted to provide some feedback.
Although there are some MINOR bugs to be worked out, this id a very good application, and does what it was designed to do.
The crashes I had mentioned are being aggressively investigated by the developers and they DO provide good customer support. (No, I do not work for them)
Here are my lists of improvements, that I would like to see.
1. It should stay easy-to-use, and clear.
2. It needs a more powerful and nicer reporting method.
I have changed my vote to 4, based on my testing.
Thanks
2.7.4 Build 290 Beta (Apr 18, 2001 - 8:25 AM)
