1.0 Beta 3 (Feb 4, 2010)
Ok, first, this is not a review of the Opera Browser... If you want to discuss that, please use the "Discussions" section and not the "Review" section. And while we're at it, note that Chrome also had/has this functionality, likely even before the Opera Browser. Either way, it's a mute point since whatever browser offers this feature, we all still have our choice of browsers to choose from and it's great if they all do offer some of the same functionality.
As also noted below, I'd like to second that opinion that when clicking on a link we have a choice some how of opening it in either the same window, new window or open it in the default browser window. I setup a test for using Gmail, but when I clicked the calendar from within the Prism window, it opened my Firefox, which isn't what I wanted to do. Maybe if they offered an option in the right click menu for opening in the default browser and default clicking stays within the Prism window, unless maybe it's an external link outside of the domain of what the Prism window was setup for.
Anyway, Prism seems good. Some good options given when you setup a Prism window. Runs quick enough, opening a Prism window is quick enough. Didn't encounter any errors in initial runs of the program.
I give it a 5. Does what it says, does it well too.

After using MSSE for a few months I am more than happy with it's performance and abilities. It does not use a lot of resources as noted by someone below, in fact, it uses less resources than say Explorer itself, the printer spool, the search index, the sidebar..
One thing I look for, besides the actual security abilities such a program offers, is how it reacts with a user's normal usage of their computer. Most of the time, live scanning, or real-time scanning usually causes stuttering or lagging while a user does normal operation. This is the biggest annoyance ever to me and every anti-virus program I have used suffers from this. I am amazed at how MSSE does not suffer from this.
And of course we come to the meat... Does it catch all them little buggers? Yes it does! Well, I can't say it will catch everything of course. I have a test drive that I pop in that has a few nasties on it and as soon as I popped it in and went to browse it, MSSE did it's job quickly.
It plays nice with your system, it's simple to use and it does the job it's intended to do... Best of all, it's free!

I was going to give Dooble a check in run since it's been near a year since I last tried it out. I was hoping that they made a lot of progress over this past year, but it seems there's a problem with downloading it. The SourceForge information says it's a 52 meg download, but for the life of me, regardless of what mirror I use, I get a corrupt download file ranging from 2 megs to 16 megs.
If anyone has a good download of this please post a link here for us.

People should actually research what they are posting reviews on instead of just looking at screen shots here on fileforum. Anomoly, did you even go to the website of this program and read about it? Did you even download and use this program? This looks nothing like fishCode Library.NET. Also, do you realize that fishCode Library.NET also has a Professional version, which means the free version you speak of is also a watered down version of it's Pro version. Besides that, fishCode Library is nowhere near as easy to use as AllMyNotes here, in either form. For ease of use AllMyNotes wins hands down. And as far as I know, AllMyNotes doesn't require the .NET runtime library to be used. So AllMyNotes only requires you to have a Windows operating system while fishCode Library requires you to have the Window operating system plus an additional runtime that's the size of an operating system.
After trying this current version I'm even more happier than before as one major needed feature I've been waiting for has been added, and that's bullet lists. Though it might have been in there a release or two back. And it seems that an old bug has finally been fixed that was driving me nuts. This program gets better and better and the authors are highly dedicated to their program and users of their program.
Even as of this date, I still look at other note taking program and so far this is the only one that continues to meet my needs for speed and simplicity.

I didn't actually try the program because this program is crippleware and not freeware as noted. You are limited to only 5 stickies unless you buy the pro version, which can pretty much make this crippled version useless.
I offer a two star rating for making this crippleware so limited and uninviting with it's limitations.

While the iPad looks cool and all and seems like a great mobile device, I'm a bit disappointed in the storage capacity and was hoping for more of a full OS than an iTouch/iPhone like OS.
I think I'll wait for the Microsoft Courier project to come to fruition instead.

Didn't we already go through this kind of scenario with Microsoft and it's Internet Explorer?
3.0 Beta (Sep 18, 2009 - 2:15 PM)
Ah, I was unaware of the get a second one deal.
I also love how someone came along here and gave a thumbs down to every comment here.

It was amazing seeing how you took so many negatives about the Zune 4.0 Software and made them positives.. /sarcasmoff
Seriously though, you kind of stepped on yourself several times in this article. It might have been wiser to let another author do this article, one that is less bias towards one side or the other.
Otherwise, it is nice though to hear how much effort MS is putting into not only Zune itself, but the software for interfacing with it.
The only thing that's holding me back from grabbing a Zune HD is the storage size. I need more than 32 gigs because I typically use my iPod Classic for software backup now and then and would want to be able to do that with the Zune HD. I know, comparing an iPod Classic to a Zune HD is like Apples and Oranges. I just don't like the looks of the previous Zune models, which of course do come with larger storages. I know the iPod Touch doesn't have huge storage either. But I seriously love the looks of the Zune HD! All reports also show that the audio quality from the Zune HD is better than any iPod.
Personally I don't care who is who, who makes what, I'm going to buy what works for me. I was even looking at the Sony Walkman line of Players, but decided that if I do buy a new player, likely it'll be the Zune HD.
Meh, enough incoherent chatter from me.. Continue flames and or debates ;-)
3.0 Beta (Sep 17, 2009 - 1:15 PM)
The mission of this non-profit association (One Laptop Per Child) is to develop a low-cost laptop - the "$100 Laptop" - a technology that could revolutionize how we educate the world's children.
I thought the point of this whole thing was to get computers into the hands of children, not adults. If they're having to adapt the distro for adults, then there's something seriously wrong with the whole operation for OLPC. This news seriously undermines the whole point of the OLPC program.
