   Sorry the FCC is attempting to limit the market, to the advantage of the telcos. And visit Russia, the free market is in full swing. The Western country with the most regulation in Telecoms is the US and it shows. While you are in Europe compare the cell service competition with the lack of it in the US. Same for Internet access. I agree the NHS is crap but then I pay $1200/month for my health plan in the US since I work for myself not a corp. I agree about the EU meddling and tax rates, but the US is a poor model for telecoms.

2. Comment - Vonage Testing New Style-Conscious Gateway

   IF you add up the cost of Skype features to equal the Vonage features Vonage is cheaper. And Vonage still has more features (like simo ring). If the ar*eholes at Verizon succeed in closing Vonage I will have to move to Packet8 at roughly twice the Vonage price. Either way I'll never give those dinosaurs at the Telcos another nickle.
