  1. Review - CherryOS

    1.0.1 Updated (Mar 15, 2005)

I'm not a big fan of Mac stuff. An this product
doesn't look like its worth any money. If I want
to run a Mac OSX I'll buy a Mac. I prefer MS WinXP
or Gentoo Linux. Most likely Apple will have this
product shutdown in the coming weeks. So, save your
money and buy a MacMini :)

  2. Review - OpenOffice.org for Windows

    2.0 (Snapshot Build 1.9.m65) (Dec 16, 2004)

I hate to say MS-Office XP or 2003 is WAY BETTER...
OpenOffice is coming along good but, it still has
a long way to go before it can take on MS-Office.

In my opinion this is good news, if OpenOffice gets
better. More likely MS-Office will too. An MS will
need to drop prices on it MS-Office line. So, it
wouldn't lose its customers to OpenOffice ...

WE ALL WIN IN MY BOOK ... :)

  3. Review - McAfee CleanBoot

    1.0 Beta 3 (May 10, 2004)

This is a good util that lets you make bootable CDs or
floppies. The anti-virus program is dos based so you
don't need windows running before you start scanning.
This is still beta software, but it can only get better
in my opinion. Looking to furture updates.

  4. Review - McAfee AVERT Stinger

    1.9.9 (Jan 29, 2004)

McAfee Avert Stinger util does a good in scanning for
worms, trojans and viruses. The over all size is under
a 1 meg. This version is windows based. I would like to
see a dos based util like this. So, I can put on a floppy
and scan a system without depending on the Windows OS to
load. A MS-DOS version on McAfee Avert Stinger would be
a big help to IT groups when troubleshooting infected
    systems.

  5. Comment - Nvidia in trouble: 60% lower revenue, will reduce chip starts

    1.9.9 (Feb 11, 2009 - 2:54 PM)

    :) ... LOL ...
I agree .. Nvidia has messed up their last few releases
with bad designs. The only thing saving them now is
loyal customers and they have better driver support
    then ATI ..

Right now ... ATI drivers are getting better and I'm looking
forward to there new 40nm chips ....

  6. Comment - Microsoft on Win7 Beta: 'The download experience was not ideal'

    1.9.9 (Jan 12, 2009 - 11:00 AM)

I too got my copy of Windows 7 Saturday and the key for it. I did a upgrade
instead of a clean install. To see what would have happened on a test system
that was running MS Vista x64 SP2 beta. Only had one small issue a app.
iTunes was causing the problem, so I removed it and the problem was solved.

Still testing, but so far " NOT BAD ... :) "

  7. Comment - Level 3 to lay off 450, hires new president/COO

    1.9.9 (Dec 10, 2008 - 12:14 PM)

I worked for a company called Genuity Solution
based in Woburn, MA . Verizon had the option
to buy back the company after a few years,
but decided not to. So, the stocks tanked and
was purchased by Level(3) at a cheap price.

Bottom line, Level(3) made alot of promises
and at the end. They canned the employees
    and move to Atlanta Georgia.

I feel bad about people loosing their jobs
these days, but the management of Level(3)
was bad when I worked for Level(3) ..

I can only imagine how bad it got after moving
    to Atlanta ...

I feel bad for the rest of the employees ...

  8. Comment - Can Tuesday's Android launch eclipse the iPhone?

    1.9.9 (Sep 23, 2008 - 6:34 AM)

I'm getting tired of all these so called new
cell phones ... iPhone .. Blackberry ... Android

I want a cell phone for talking not streaming
media, playing videos, playing music or running
    apps.

Also, a phone that has 12 hours talk time and
standby mode for 3 three weeks. An a contract
from a telco that only charges you $26.00 a
month. This also should include unlimited
text and unlimited minutes too ..

I just want a service provide that is low cost
and a cell phone fr talking and text message..

  9. Comment - Google Chrome takes more than just inspiration from Mozilla

    1.9.9 (Sep 2, 2008 - 6:50 PM)

    I figure I'll put my 2 cents in ...

I've been using Google Chrome for a few hours now and it's doing everything IE, FF can do.
It's still beta so things will get improved
and changed as time moves on.

Bottom line ... it works ...
