  1. Review - SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition

    4.23.1006 Beta (Dec 5, 2008)

Had a major Vundo and DW_Start rqwnw64s.exe infection on one of the office computers. Really messed things up. spybot, spywareguide.com, nothing cured it but for this program (version 4.22) and it allowed me to restore automatic windows update which was being prevented from having its service started by virtue of infections.

  2. Review - Microsoft Internet Explorer for Windows XP

    7.0 Final (Oct 18, 2006)

I'm too chicken to try it yet. When I tried the latest beta, it prevented my HP Director (scanning software) from working. Many people reported this glitch to the MS people and the last comment I read from the beta site was basically, "tough crap, go back and use IE6.0 if you need to use your scanner software". That's not really a quote, but I'm paraphrasing the attitude correctly. If anyone is using HP Director and IE7.0 final, then I would be interested in hearing how it works. Oh, one more thing ... when I rolled (or tried to roll) back to IE6.0, my system got hosed. Thank goodness for a just created disk image!!!

  3. Comment - Internet Explorer 7 Final Released

    7.0 Final (Oct 23, 2006 - 7:12 PM)

I just talked with Hewlett Packard and IE7 is still NOT compatible with HP Director (the program hundreds of thousands of people use with their HP all in one printer/scanners). Supposedly HP is working on this. I use my scanner too much to gravitate to IE7 at this time. IE6 is just fine for now

  5. Comment - New UI Font Coming to Vista, Office 12

    7.0 Final (Nov 24, 2005 - 7:05 PM)

Remember the old Ford commercial? ... "Ford, where quality is job 1" ...

Y'all have heard the adaption of that haven't you?

"Microsoft, where quality is job 1.1"

  6. Comment - Symantec Testing New Norton AntiVirus

    7.0 Final (Jul 27, 2005 - 12:56 AM)

I agree with negative "bloating" comments about Norton. I will NEVER install Symantec products on my computer ... EVER. Their idea of security is making the internet so unuseable that of course you won't get infected!
