  1. Review - RoboForm

    6.3.9 (May 21, 2005)

This is hands-down the absolute best password manager around. This was one peice of software where I paid the asking price with smile

  2. Review - nLite

    0.97 Beta (Silent Update) (Jun 28, 2004)

    This software is simply amazing.

Also daver18qc, you migt want to check the size of your swap file if you got a 900mb installed system from a 190mb iso.

  3. Review - nnCron

    1.89 RC6 (Mar 7, 2004)

This program is possibly one of the best utilities I have downloaded in a long time. The possibilities with regards to what you can do with nncron is endless. Superb! The helpfile comes with lots of samples. To get the most out of this proggie, you will have to take a look at these samples. The interface is good enough, but for some of the advanced things you can do with nncron, read the helpfile

UTAKER, basicjr and geniusinsandals, unfortunately vista is only available for download to Microsoft Partners and MSDN subscribers.

However, it won't be long before it is leaked to p2p networks if it hasn't already

  5. Comment - Vista Beta Offers Peek at Aero Interface

    1.89 RC6 (Jul 28, 2005 - 4:20 PM)

Well, I just installed Vista and it is a lot better than the last build for longhorn. seems to run stable so far. very good for beta 1

Something that came as a bit of a surprise is that ie7 now has a built in search bar, but what surprised me is the easily accesible way you can set your default search engine for it. I'd have though MS would have wanted to make it a bit more difficult in order to get more exposure for the new msn search

  6. Comment - Windows Piracy Check Now Mandatory

People, you can whine all you want, but what it comes down to is business. Pure and simple. MS is not a charitable organization.

They exist because they want to make money. AND they will continue to make money for as long as their marketing is better than that of their competitors. It really is not a question of who makes the best os at the best price (or free), but who market their os for the masses.

Linux is a very good os (so I am told) but until they come up with a better marketing strategy MS will continue to hold the market share simply because people know the os.

The bottom line is that we as people don't like change unless it is for the better. Prooving that concept though is up to how you market your product.

Now I know a lot of you will say that other os makers don't have the budget to compete (marketing wise) with MS, but does that mean that MS must now practise bad bussiness just to give others a chance?
