  1. Review - SMPlayer for Windows

    0.5.51 (Sep 7, 2007)

Needless bloated GUI for a sleek mediaplayer like mplayer. If you must have a GUI, at least have one that minimally intrudes on the application like MPF which you can check out here: http://mpf.dzm.hu/

  2. Review - MacOSX Transformation Pack

    1.0 Beta (Sep 24, 2004)

...why would you curse your machine with a "facelift" like this?

  3. Review - Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2)

Network Installation Package (Aug 10, 2004)

What a waste of bandwidth the download. More bloat features most people don't want. That firewall is a joke and all the "security center" does is ensure that people who don't know any better keep the auto update feature switched on... Big brother is watching you. If you use any p2p client like edonkey or bittorrent, this service pack limits the amount of TCPIP connections in a time period to 10. That will break the back of these p2p networks. Get the patch to unlimited from here if you do install this and use p2p: http://www.lvllord.de/4226fix/4226fix.htm

  5. Review - Winamp 5 Full

    5.03c (Jun 25, 2004)

Bloatware -- version 2.x was okay, but eversince they sold out to AOL, the product has gotta larger and larger with features getting smaller and smaller compared to some of winamp's competition.

You can use much more sophisticated players now such as xmplay (http://xmplay.com/) and foobar2000 (http://www.foobar2000.org/) both of which blow winamp away.
