1.0.2 Final (Nov 25, 2005)
Presentation is nice.
No interest in working with Plaxo, and doesn't automatically sign back in if you're disconnected for some reason. Super bloated as well.
I, as well, will stick with AIM 5.9.
1.75 Final (Feb 28, 2002)
I would like this program a LOT more if it was a bit smarter -- ie: recursive directory searching, better interface, better options, etc.
6.0 Preview Release 1 (Aug 4, 2000)
I figured out how to fix these drivers for the Diamond Monster Fusion and now they work great! Edit the banshee.inf, do a search for 'vgacompatible' without the quotes.. you should find this:
[banshee_SoftwareDeviceSettings]
HKR,, VgaCompatible, %REG_DWORD%, 0
HKR,, memclocking, %REG_DWORD%, 110
Change the 0 to a 1 and the 110 to a 125, so you get
[banshee_SoftwareDeviceSettings]
HKR,, VgaCompatible, %REG_DWORD%, 1
HKR,, memclocking, %REG_DWORD%, 125
Should work just peachy!

I have had no luck with .01 or .02 of the drivers no matter what I do. I have a PCI Diamond Monster Fusion. When I install the drivers and restart, my video gets COMPLETELY corrupted (vertical/horizontal lines across screen) and the machine hard locks. The only way I could get them to work was to "hybridize" them with the unofficial beta drivers. They worked then, but of course I had no OGL or Glide.

Yikes. Simple English comprehension skills out the window.
"still a work in progress that is considered to be a development branch and not for general availability" DOES NOT EQUAL "may not be released to the public".
The message from T-Mobile was sent in response to an inquiry on the rumors that Cupcake would be sent OTA in January. Since we're nearing the end of January, people are wondering where it is. T-Mobile is simply saying that it's still under development, still a development branch, and that it is not ready to be distributed to the public yet. NOT that it won't be released at all.
Software companies build development branches with new features so they can get it all tip-top before shipping to the customer. We don't give out our development branches -- they're for internal consumption and testing only. Once they're ready and GA quality, they get distributed to customers. Simple. Because it's a "development branch" and isn't ready for prime time does NOT mean that it never will be.
Yeesh.

How utterly stupid, seriously.
It disgusts me that there are "think tanks" out there that are literally just groups of douchebags who think of ideas, try to patent them vaguely, then just sit back and wait until someone comes out with something that might fit their patent to sue them and cash in. Absurd.
Then there's these guys who might have come up with a similar idea as Cell and patented it, even though they might not have had any means to actually produce what they were patenting. Sony comes along, has the same idea on their own, actually makes it, and gets sued.
Patents for products should not be granted unless a working prototype is presented along with the patent application.

They're not recalling any straps. Misleading title.
They are sending new, thicker straps if you request them. That's it.
Also note that there have been tests, and the amount of force to snap one of these is ridiculous. The idiots who have broken them had to have been using the Wiimote in a ludicrously exaggerated way in order to snap these things. Retards.

Triton blows goats for nickels.
If they based it off of AIM 5.9 I'd be interested. As it is, based on Triton, I'm not in the least bit interested whatsoever.

I'm downloading at a steady 1.25MB/sec. Not bad.
Anyone know if the delay between the MSDN release and this was to fix any of the issues? It was pretty solid when I ran the MSDN release, but couldn't do stuff like install AIM (would hang while registering imagehlp.dll), and it caused some coaster burning at times.. anyone know if they might have worked on these issues for the CPP?
