  1. Review - O&O Defrag Professional

    11.0.3265 (Oct 3, 2008)

Except for individual file/directory defragmentation on demand, there are no new useful feature since its 8.x version. Unfortunately, its defragmentation on demand feature is just a workaround feature rather than part of the main defragmentation feature. Other new features are just cosmetics, shortcuts, wizards and monitors which are useless.

  2. Review - µTorrent for Windows

    1.8.1. Build 12323 Beta (Sep 23, 2008)

Hear no other, see no other.
It's not just for jest. ;)

  3. Review - RegCool

    3.628 (Sep 17, 2008)

Not cool at all. While usability is somewhat better than Registry Editor, it has less registry support than Registry Editor.

  4. Review - WinAce

    2.6 Final (Aug 26, 2005)

3rd and sometimes 4th place for compression strength. And has no difference with version 2.5, just interface bugfixes, better looking and better file handling. WinAce fans should get it, otherwise don't. Oh I almost forgot. It also eat more memory and loads slower. Isn't that good?

  5. Review - Mandriva Linux

    2006 Beta 3 (Aug 26, 2005)

Frankly, I'm a little dissapointed. Since it became Mandriva, I was expecting more ease of use and more coverage of the Linux configurations. But it still not coming. And the important thing for me is the full-text-search feature of the KDE Help Center. Why it's not yet configured? I'm having a hard time configuring it which forced me to keep my SuSE. And yes, I'm a beginner in Linux. And the help & documentation files is critical for me. I hope Mandriva realize that.

  6. Comment - Opera 10 alpha shows off new Presto rendering engine

    2006 Beta 3 (Dec 5, 2008 - 9:45 AM)

    That's a good news. :)
But hey, where's the comparison with IE and Safari?

  7. Comment - First look at latest OpenOffice merits a second

    2006 Beta 3 (Oct 10, 2008 - 3:30 PM)

Wow. That's enough for me to think than my old Office 2000 is still faster, memory efficient and storage efficient. Reading DOCX files is not a problem either since there is a converter from the Microsoft itself.

While Ooo is getting more rich in features, it doesn't bother optimizing their code. The result is a slow and memory inefficient office suite with almost baked features. Worst is that it requires Java for one of its feature. Duh...

Fortunately, I got my Office 2000 early. It's more than enough for me, for now. So if Ooo keep being like this, I might just ignore it for good.

  8. Comment - EU Tells Microsoft to Get Moving

    2006 Beta 3 (Apr 27, 2005 - 5:59 PM)

What's the matter with EU people?
    Why threat? And why now?

    Don't they use Windows too?
    Don't they need Windows too?

If they don't want it, why don't they just ban Windows?
If they don't want to ban Windows, then why they don't want it?

    Why make things more complicated?
Why stop people for making things much easier?

    Why? And Why? But Why?

  9. Comment - McAfee Tests Virus Scans During Boot

    2006 Beta 3 (Apr 22, 2005 - 6:39 PM)

Most poeple considered this news as a good news.
And most virus makers considered this as a good resource.

  10. Comment - Microsoft Sued Over JPEG Patent

    2006 Beta 3 (Apr 22, 2005 - 6:34 PM)

Gate has been there and done that.
    Wrong move...
