1.5 Beta 8 (Dec 12, 2008)
All of AOL software is Beta. Who would ever put a RC on crap. Last desktop for Mac was bad and this one is no better. Who really needs AOL software running on their computer? Even if some of the few who still use AOL, why even bother with the software? A good web browser like Safari or Firefox will run much better and use less resources.

It works better on Mac OS10 then on Windows. The UI does not work with Windows in my opinion. Firefox did a much better job incorporating their browser into the Windows UI. Even Safari does not work with Vista Aero?? Why not Apple?? Sorry Apple but this to me is a half hearted attempt to port Safari to Windows. I would have expected better from Apple.

My feeling on upgrading has always been if you need it then do it. If your happy with what you have for a while longer then wait until you need new hardware. In most cases it will be cheaper to get a new OS with new hardware. But its not just about the hardware as we found out with Vista. Sometimes even software has issues with a new OS. I have tested Windows 7 and found it very compelling to upgrade to it. But after Vista SP2 came out I realized I was happy with it and its performance and decided for the price I could wait until I needed new hardware. If Microsoft decides to offer a better deal now that Apple has offered $30 for Snow Leopard I may change my mind. In the end I feel comfortable with Vista and that's what I'll stay with.

Is any news trustworthy on some of these sites. Has anyone heard of verifying before publishing.
Are we in such a hurry to get news out that we fail to care what it says. I have come to get most of my factual news from places such as AP news, CNN,Reuters. These journalist actual check facts first for the most part. The rest I treat as rumors waiting for someone to confirm.

When accessing Mobile Me with IE 7 it still prompt you that IE 7 is not compatible totally with Mobile Me. You would have thought Apple could have solved this by now if they wanted too. It appears to me that Apple wants user's to be using Apple software on both the Mac and the PC to access Mobile Me. I really liked Dot Mac and I really do not like Mobile Me.
Its not a service I will continue to pay for after my subscription is up.
