  1. Comment - iPod Nano May Have Some Big Problems

Dunno. You, I think. I see 'wakka wakka wakka', I think of that noise that Pacman makes as he's eating those balls on the screen.

  2. Comment - Microsoft Closes Activation Loophole

    (Feb 25, 2005 - 2:25 PM)

Well, the problem is that since less then 1% of the general public use Linux or most wouldn't know what it is if it was on a monitor in front of them. The people that post in this forum generally are very technical, admins, OEMs, etc.. people that have technical profiency.

Until Linux comes up with a GUI that is user friendly or a marketing scheme which appeals to home users, forget it. Learn to live with activation and quit pirating software... :-D

  3. Comment - Firefox Architect Talks IE, Future Plans

    (Nov 30, 2004 - 5:01 AM)

Oddly enough, as a website developer, I don't want to write code for 3 browsers. I write for what the majority uses and last I checked, it appears to be IE.

I have Firefox on one of my test machines at home and I am not sure what the 'have fun' part is meant. Let's see... I go to www.betanews.com and it comes up fine. Boy, THAT WAS FUN!!! Okay, now lemme try it on IE. I open IE and type in www.betanews.com in the address bar and it... OPENS! THAT WAS FUN TOO!!!! WOW!!!!

And Opera was a good idea, until they decided to sell it (groan). Browsers should be free period. All future web browser designers, please make sure it's free.

  4. Comment - 106 Million XP SP2 Downloads Tallied

    (Oct 21, 2004 - 9:40 AM)

Don't know where you fellas lives, but they are selling full retail copies of Windows XP Professional with SP-2 already integrated here in the Dallas, Texas area at any computer chain stores now. That's good to see.

Also, since I do tech support for various OEM hardware companies, I am seeing around 1-1000 installs go bad, roughly. Usually do to the thrid party vendors mostly from those that have problems with SP-2 security settings being elevated. The PCs that are completely trashed all the way are around 1-10000, I am guessing.
