1.3Fix-2 (Nov 22, 2007)
I can't seem to get this to work. =/
It crashes on my Vista machine.
I recently upgraded PCs and dealing with the DRM has been a pain (all 100% legit music as well). :(
1.2.0.37 (Mar 23, 2005)
I haven't had a chance to test out the new version, however older versions of Skype offer the best voice quality I have seen, with one exception. Over long conversations the volume of the conversation slowly decreases, and I have to reconnect in order to keep the conversation at an audible level.
As well, when playing games it tends to slow down and get staticy.

There are a few problems with trillian. ICQ contacts aren't uploaded to the server, it's difficult to add people to invisible/visible lists and to un-ignore people. However, trillian uses less resources than ICQ, Yahoo, MSN or AIM by themselves. I love trillian and will continue to use it. :)

Easier synchronizing of files. I want files to be in multiple locations and always have the latest and greatest version.
Application updates. Some system that windows would tell you when an application has an update (basically taking windows update to the next level)

There's features in Vista people are overlooking... the main one I'm interested in is that Windows will now force drivers to run in user mode, opposed to kernel mode... that means far more stability, and security.
MS had some hackers come in and demonstrate how easy it was to get into their systems. This demonstration was in front of the developers. If you know developers, they dont like seeing their code getting compromised. The result of this was the coders are more security aware, and that a lot of Vista code was scrapped and they started over.

What's the difference between this voice and the previous versions voice? I found that Yahoo voice sucked compared with MSN and Skype. I'd use Yahoo for web-cams, and Skype for voice and it seemed to provide the best solution to both.

Just because he doesn't agree with you doesn't mean his opinion is moot. I have a gmail account, and I haven't used it at all. Not one bit. I prefer my ISP mail to it. I don't need a 2 gig inbox, nor do I want google snooping through my e-mails whatsoever.

If this was Microsoft, this thread would be full of comments.
