Skype is a very good program. I only have a cell phone and kept going over my minutes (it would have been cheaper to just get a house phone), but then I tried Skype and what's not to love? Free calls (till 07) and really good clarity. I've been meaning to try out a usb phone on this, but haven't gotten around to it. I think this is better than Vonage.

I am impressed. I'm a hardcore Firefox user and I like this browser too. The widgets are awesome, cool skins, and built in mouse gestures. Very cool. The person who mentioned Windows Live not working is correct though. I guess it doesn't know how to handle webparts.
Anyway so far I love it!

I'm middle of the road on iTunes. I use it with my ipod and it works great. The Visualizer has stunning grafix, not that I use it much. I don't, however, use it as my default music player. People are right when they say that it is a memory resource hog. I also hate Quicktime. I disable it from startup everytime I upgrade iTunes (to do that go to Start->Run (type in regedit). Drill down to the following path "My Computer\HKEY_LOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" then delete qttask (or quicktimetask, something like that, can't quite remember). At least it doesn't startup any more when the computer boots.
I do love the way it organizes music, just don't use it as your default player.

Great FTP manager. I've used quite a few and this one is very simple and does the job. I highly recommend using this.

You can hit "Windows + D" and that will show your desktop (I usually find that faster anyway).

Agreed. I have 37 quick launch icons on my task bar. Also moving the task bar to the top of the screen is a lot more efficient (all application menus are already at the top anyway).
I've tried docks before and they seem very inefficient to me. I can't stand it when my apps are grouped in windows. One way to get around this might be to start having tabs in more application windows.

I'm sure that they'll flip out about this then...

Guitar Hero is ok, but I prefer playing real guitar. This game looks interesting: http://www.guitarrising.com/

Agreed (SDK is supposedly coming out this month). That and drag and drop songs from iTunes. Why in the world do I have to sync my playlist!?
