1. Comment - Comcast to roll out 50 Mbps 'wideband' to Philly, Boston, NJ, NH

   The capping is frustrating - higher speed would be nice - already 8mbps feels slooow, but Comcast cannot stick to its guns - on local radio here (KFly, Eugene, Oregon) in a DJ read advert, they say that their connection is great for students who want to download all tyhe latest stuff - I heard this advert yesterday, the 22nd. Isn't that the type of usage they want to block?
   
   Will be interesting t9o try though - why drag out going over quota until the end of the month when you can do it in the first week! :)

2. Comment - Samsung's Blu-ray players are next to get Netflix

   The problem, as always, is bandwidth - vod on a notebook screen is grand, throw it on that 1080p 52 inch screen, and it is going to look awful! With suitable bandwidth, this may be resolved.
   
   But why give up on blu ray or DVD? Sure, most everyone on this site has MP3's - but I doubt I am the only one who still purchases CD's - owning is nice - I do not want to be completley 'virtual' - although I accept arguments that it is cheaper, and more enviro - friendly.
   
   Plus, I enjoy all the bonus materials that are thrown in to the disks - will that be virtual too?
