1. Comment - Windows XP Media Center Edition Goes Gold

   From what I remember, XP Media Center Edition is essentially an upgrade or code revision of the present XP core OS. Would an upgrade be available for XP Home Users. Many folks including me have XP Home Systems with TV out and Mid-End (SB Live) Sound Cards.
   
   In theory, one would be able to take a present device and say watch AVIs or other Movie files on the big screen (like i do now), with a much more enhanced experience.
   
   Any thoughts or input?

2. Comment - Philips, Nike Beta Test Portable Sports Audio

   I received a note from the good 'ol boys @ philips this morning. I have been on their mailing list for some time, but unfortunately, I have never been selected to betatest 'yet' with their hardware. This sounds like a sweet unit. You can get details by going to the website provided and fill out a short survey. Hope I get in this time. (I really wanted the MP3 boombox... oh well...)

4. Comment - Become an Xbox Live Beta Tester

   My son would jump at this. I'll let him know as he has been on the XBox scene since Day_01. Online gaming is his bag. There have been "unofficial" sites already setup that he has been enjoying. So far this is a free service. We'll see what MS has to offer...

5. Comment - Philips Readies 8cm eXpanium Beta

   I'm not doubting the cost factor/MB I have an Olympus Digital Camera that I use SmartMedia with. I was just stating it would make for a smaller form factor as well as having the ability to be re-writable. Generally I listen to the MP3s for a few days in the car/portable, get bored and use a rewrite or if I need to just burn another CD. Thanks!
