  1. Review - VirtualDub

    1.8.5 Build 29963 (Aug 29, 2008)

Works perfectly and gets better with every new version. Only someone who doesn't know how to use this and how to configure their codecs properly would rate it anywhere less than 5.

  2. Review - NewsBin Pro for Windows NT/2000/XP

    5.0 (Feb 9, 2008)

I've been keeping on eye on this program since v3.xx hoping it would get better. After several years you'd think the developer would take a few days and work on the interface and options layout a little, but no. This thing is a mess and looks as disgusting as it did years ago. I'm sorry, but I'm not about to pay money for something that looks like a 12 year old kid programmed in his parents' basement in his spare time. Aside from that, this program actually got worse when going from v4.xx to v5.xx and introduced new bugs and random crashes. You're better off using a free alternative than paying for this monstrosity.

  3. Review - GPU-Z

    0.1.3 (Dec 8, 2007)

    Works like a charm!

  4. Review - Paint Shop Pro

    12.01 Patch (Nov 29, 2007)

I avoid anything by Corel like it's the plague, and this product is no exception. Corel reminds me of AOL, because they can't make any decent applications. All they do is go around buying up small companies with excellent products and then proceed to run them into the ground. Corel used to have a graphics editing suite called CorelDraw. What ever happened to that? I'll tell you what. It was a piece of crap and nobody wanted it. If at first you don't succeed.. go buy someone else's work and pretend it's your own! I'm sticking with the last decent version, which is 9.01.

And why the hell does PSP need Python now? Python reminds me of that piece of crap called Java. Oooh, it's cross-platform, so it must be good! No, anything cross platform is slow and bloated. It's just like the old saying; Jack of all trades, master of none. Now I can't even re-install Windows without having to also re-install PSP. Up until Corel took over, I could just install PSP on another drive and start it right up without a problem after a Windows re-install. But now it complains due to missing Python dependencies or some crap. God, I hope Corel burns in hell.

  5. Review - Miranda IM

    0.7.0 Preview Release 9 (Sep 17, 2007)

This turned into garbage now. I downloaded the latest Preview released and installed it over my old files. Now it won't recognize my old profile because they started storing them in C:\Document and Settings\blah blah blah instead of Miranda's own folder. The reason I was using Miranda was because it DIDN'T put junk all over my hard drive. But that's gone now and this thing is useless to me.

  6. Comment - Expect 22.8% performance boost from next week's Firefox 3.6 beta

    0.7.0 Preview Release 9 (Oct 11, 2009 - 2:38 AM)

"If you're on Windows, it sucks to be you but if you're on a Mac you definitely want to download this."

Nobody cares about Mac. I laugh at comments like this where someone tries to make the Mac sound relevant. Oooh, you're so different, you're so hip, because you paid a premium for your PC hardware (yes, that's right) and you run a browser no one's ever heard of, on an operating system nobody cares about. Yaaaawn.

  7. Comment - Apple TV lineup shuffled, major updates expected

    0.7.0 Preview Release 9 (Sep 14, 2009 - 11:20 PM)

What's this garbage? 40 GB and 160 GB? Get serious. When 1TB+ drives are dirt cheap, Apple is still shoving this crap down all the fanboys' throats and they're just loving it. Apple is probably charging more for that 160 GB drive inside this polished turd than you would pay for a 1TB drive. Hey Apple, how about an Apple TV box that comes without a HD and let's us put whatever drive we want inside it? Oh wait, that would cut into your 90% profit margins. We certainly can't have that!

    Pass.

  8. Comment - Jury verdict against Microsoft overturned in precedent-setting ruling

    0.7.0 Preview Release 9 (Sep 14, 2009 - 12:21 AM)

Well, logically, stealing is illegal. Whereas immorally aquisitioning something may be wrong morally, but not necessarily illegal. :)

  9. Comment - Sony CEO Stringer: No PS3 price cut

    0.7.0 Preview Release 9 (Jul 10, 2009 - 2:17 AM)

Yup, that's right! I remember back when the PS3 came late to the party and all the Sony zealots just shrugged and said it would easily catch up to the Xbox360 in a year or so. Then after a year has passed they said it would probably take two years. Well, it's been like three years now and not only is the PS3 no closing in, the gap is actually widening. But hey, you can use Sony math and conclude that by selling less and less consoles than your competition, you will still eventually catch up to them.

Oh and the other funny thing is how Sony expect the lifespan of the PS3 to be 10+ years and has no plans for a new console until then. I'm willing to bet will have a Wii 2 and an Xbox720 long before the PS4 comes out. :)

  10. Comment - Sony CEO Stringer: No PS3 price cut

    0.7.0 Preview Release 9 (Jul 10, 2009 - 2:14 AM)

It's probably costing them half as much or less to make the PS3 now than it did 3 years ago. I mean, they saved a bundle by crippling it and removing the PS2 backwards compatibility chip. I would be very surprised if Sony wasn't making a profit on the PS3 at this point. They won't drop the price and as time goes by it costs them less and less to make the console while the price is staying the same, so they make more and more money on it. They lost hundreds of millions back when the first price cut happened and that really hurt them. Now they're expecting to make those losses back.
