So let me see if I understand Dudeboyz and uberfly. You have so many applications that Defense+ drives you crazy. Unless I install something new I don't get a prompt to allow. Especially if I switch to "installation mode".
You don't say specifically what you've tried as far as configurations that didn't work. A "stop all activities" is right on the front of the interface. Doesn't that serve the purpose you mentioned when testing for "virus and malware"? Are you doing a fresh install every time? If so do you save your configuration so you don't have to needlessly reconfigure on install? It sounds like Comodo offers you too many options and that is what frustrates you. Options to add new networks or specific addresses, port sets etc. are useless to you? Fascinating! Are you sure you two don't work for ZA labs? OK let's get serious. There is no better freeware firewall and as said before, better than many shareware ones as well.

Nice job Comodo! Using 3.0.23.368. Clean and smooth, good speed improvements. So far looks ready for prime time. I'll be interested to see what might crop up but I'm not expecting anything drastic.
SP3 RC2 Refresh (Apr 7, 2008)
Good Lord, I don't know what any of you are talking about. My version was SP3 RC2 5508. No problems with address bars, etc. Best link for uxtheme replacement that I have found is: www.withinwindows.com/uxtheme-patches/
Remember to rename all uxtheme.dll's in system32 folder as well as the dll cache folder AND the service pack folder to something like "old", "older","oldest", whatever. Unzip the .rar file and copy and paste to your system32. When windows file protection gives you the prompt for the xp cd hit "cancel". Reboot. Good to go, at your own risk of course.

Can someone here at BetaNews change this rating from 3.0 what appears to be a 4-4.5? And why does anyone listen to retarded analogies about "Kalahari Bushmen"? As far as I know the "bushmen" live under completely different circumstances and couldn't make a living writing software even if they wanted to. I love free software but again it's called BetaNews not FreeNews. Rating it low because it isn't free is idiotic and myopic. The only "crap" here is your smelly review.

Really, more bells and whistles. For all levels of users this is the best firewall software period; pound for pound. Enough options for more experienced users and a simple wizard set up for the rest. Solid protection with customization for everyone. Get outa here! Updated frequently, the programmers are serious.
