0.3.9 Build 20070120 Beta (Jan 22, 2007)
"Dixon_Butz", you're giving it a three because screamer radio has a simple interface. A program needs functionality before all else and screamer radio does exactly that. With a small file size, hundreds of stations, low system load, and the ability to record stations. There is no other internet radio program that has as many features in such a small size. Maybe in the future the creator will allow customization of the interface, but I hope it will only be minor and not a full blown skinning interface because it would increase the screamer's use of system resources. Screamer radio continues to be my favorite program to recommend to people. Keep up the good work.
2.36d Beta (Jul 8, 2006)
Great Tagger. Used to use TagScanner but I found the interface and setup of Mp3Tag to be much more efficient. A tool should have functionallity with an interface that compliments that. Though I really wonder what Anomonly is looking for in a tagging program. Something that works or something catches his eye so he can't realize how much his current program sucks.
Great Program!!!
2.0 Alpha 2 (May 15, 2006)
An improvement over the 1.5 versions. It seems to be less resource hungry and I also think this is a very stable alpha build. Though it isn't like revolutionary features are being added to this to the 2.0 version of firefox. I hope some of my favorite extensions become compatible soon. I enjoy the additional features and think this release will be effective in combating the future release of IE7. I'm no Firefox fanatic but I do feel that Microsoft would have done nothing to truly improve IE if it wasn't for firefox. It is only through competition that products truly thrive. I hope firefoxes share of the browser market increases and in turn improves it self and IE.
1.0 RC2 (Feb 24, 2006)
Great program, I have been using musikcube for almost a year now and I really like it. The music library is fast and responsive. The alternating colors are easy on the eyes and the support for several formats helps people with diverse collection of music. Oh reguarding the 3 review earlier. I think 6-7 megs installed on your computer is pretty good. Foobar maybe uses a little less but just remember that for the same functionality foobar uses at least 5 times the systems resources just to run. The only weakness that i've found in musikcube is the small community that follows the program. Musikcube needs a 1.0 final release and several more plugins to become a competitive program(better radio support). I don't think alot of power features will not be included into musikcube because the goal of the project is a player that is easy on system resources. Though overall the best program for my needs.
5.2 (Feb 21, 2006)
I'm just happy winamp is still around. It was one of the first and it remains as one of the best. I personally enjoy a music library and that's why I love winamp. Winamp as a player I think is slightly below par compared to foobar, but in terms of a library winamp wins. Since foobar lacks this functionality. Of course the people who use foobar organize their music based on heirarchies of folders. I personally use Musikcube because I do not need all of the features of winamp, but for ipod and media player owners I think this new version will help winamp regain some of its users from itunes. Not to say that itunes is horrible. It has some great features but its use of system resources is unacceptable. I would agree with a previous reviewer that winamps new method of tagging radio stations is way too bulky and lack functionality.
Since I do not usually use this feature I'm giving it a five instead of a four.
