  2. Comment - T-Mobile to drop 1G data cap for G1, while throttling heavy users

Thankfully many businesses/schools/homes offer/have free wifi, which helps many users stay under the cap that most carriers place on "unlimited data." If it weren't for free wifi, I'd bust through the T-Mobile 1G limit every month. I'd probably come close to the At&T 5G limit with my iPhone every month too!

"in a choice of black, brown, or white"

Have we gotten a glimpse of the brown phone yet?

The white is by far the nicest looking in my opinion. I think the black looks cheap, manly and like a handheld GPS instead of a smartphone with GPS capabilities.

Barcode scanning is very cool and the app is useful for those who do comparison shopping. Personally, I would probably never use this as I am an impulse shopper unless it's a big ticket item as I think a lot of buyers are. If it's a big ticket item, I'm likely to want to do tons of research online from my computer and not just scan in on my phone using a rather small screen.

  5. Comment - Analyst: Android is in iPhone's league, but more apps are needed

    (Sep 24, 2008 - 11:27 AM)

The Apple App Store is definitely in the lead with number of apps offered, but how quickly will this change? If the Android App Store is allowing anyone to upload apps without restrictions than I think the Android App Store will surpass the Apple App Store rather quickly. I'm just wondering what Google is doing to prevent malware!
