   Review - Mandriva Linux

   9.0 Beta 4 (Aug 31, 2002)

   Mandrake Linux looks like a good distribution. But the last time I installed this distro it messed up my other partitions. Look a while to get everything back. I am a Linux newbie (I am a windows only developer) so your experience might be better than mine.

   may not be because of any technical issues with Mira displays.
   
   It might be the fact that Tablet PC is about to launched in mid November. MS marketting might be afraid that people will be confused and will not be able to diffrentiate between Tablet PC and Mira Smart Displays.
   Not releasing both products at the same time will avoid this confusion.

   It great to see there will be a standard way to store media metainformation.
   Wish there was a standard for files on the PC.

   I have no interes in reverse engineering this but I did try to open the cab file using Winzip 8.1
   I could extract all the files.

   If Media Center = Win XP with SP1
   how do they detect whether freestyle needs to installed ?
   
   Product Key ? Or some special activation package ?
   Any Guesses ?
