Don't worry BD lov, when holographic optical drives with over a 100 TBite of storage space hit the market BRay will look like video cassette. Then I'll be able to store everything on a single disk. Maybe I'll put my brain on a HGO. I think Toshiba should start looking at this Technology since HD seems a waste of thier talent now.

Universal must be waiting for the big payout those other production studios got. What the heck, half a billion is still half a billion. What warner got btw.
Go blueray. I'll be ready to dive in when you get sub 100 decks out there. Weeeee.... Daddy bigbucks please keep buying BR until they get settled on a priority system like win 3.5 or something. For now I'll just settle for upconverted dvd since I got a cheapo hd player that does okay at that anyway.

Just bought an Hd-DVD Player for 199 from BB. About three days before Warners' announcement. I have an older 1080i rear projection that looked fantastic with my pitifully small library of HD disks, heh. Oh well, it's not too bad. Colors and overall sharpness are improved on my regular dvds. If you can get a Toshiba at going out of business prices they might be worth it for the up convert alone. BR might be something to look at later when pricing comes down under a 100 on a deck or 60 for a pc drive. Besides, now HD is done might as well wait for the cheap writeable decks and those will be three years down the road. Sorry Hollyrock, those dvd sales aren't looking so hot for a long while.
