At least Silverlight is fairly lean. 1.3 megs to install, and it's a pretty small footprint when running.
BTW, for those near Arizona, come hear Scott Guthrie talk about all the new MS tech on June 27th -- for free! The local user group is flying him in for the day. Register here: http://azgroups.com/uber07

Well dang, I chuckled when a couple months ago on April Fool's day Scoble jested that he was going to Google:

But now it will definitely be sad to see him go from C9. He answered all of my email, and even posted a couple of my videos out on C9. What a great guy to bring a new level of PR to Microsoft. They will have a damned hard time filling his shoes.

I recently got a new Sony laptop with a Core Duo processor, and since it runs at the same 1.8 GHz clock speed as my other Dell with a Centrino, I decided to do some performance testing. From the results, it looks like the way programs are written will make a huge difference between whether or not we see a performance gain out of the new Duo line:

I don't know what planet mhguy15 comes from, but there's not much rational thinking going on there!
Very good price for what it promises. Finally a small Sony High-Def camera. Although quality is likely not as good as the HDR-FX1, still it may be close. Hopefully the same codec is used as is in the 3CCD cam.
I'm eagerly awaiting some sample footage!
