  1. Review - Griffith for Windows

    0.9.8 (Nov 20, 2008)

There is a reason I keep BetaNews on my favorites list and this program is it. I spend so much tagging my music in order to organize them so why shouldn't I be able to do the same for my videos and movies?

    Well implemented!

  2. Review - Web Album Copier

    0.2.7 Beta (Nov 20, 2008)

Interesting program that can be readily replaced by a good download manager.
Now if this program showed you the images as thumbails as you were downloading them or offered photo-specific features it might be useful but as of now it is simply a featureless download manager.
Oh yeah, it doesn't support flickr yet and the author is not very descriptive in his explanation of what this does.

I'll wait for a better release to change this review.

  3. Review - Free Download Manager

    2.6.825 Beta (Nov 20, 2008)

From what I have tried, this is easily the best download manager out there. But I won't give it a 5 because I think it can be improved. As of now, the interface is too busy. I love the features that FDM offer especially HTML explorer and it's ability to capture downloads. However, I do think there is a bit of tidying up to do on the interface and the way FDM itself communicates with the user. Specifically, I would like to see:

    -----SCRATCH THAT------
I've found the interface customization options and I'm officially impressed. Notification can be customized to the "T" and I don't even notice FDM anymore. It interfaces so well with Vista!

  4. Review - Background Buddy

    3.05 (Oct 24, 2008)

Works with Vista too if you set the program exe to run in XP2 compatability mode as administrator. The exe should be located at C:\Users\(USER NAME HERE)\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\G6KOJXNM.WKL\JQP9D6V9.1BM\bgbu..tion_a326f2059f9fc36e_0003.0000_5ff619cf2d42d749

If not then you can easily find it by runnning the program in Vista, going to the task manager, and right clicking on the process for it. Then click open folder and you should see it.

  5. Review - UXTender

    1.2 Pre-Release (Aug 15, 2008)

It's about time someone wrote a patcher for SP3. And it patches SP2 to boot! Very simple and does the job quickly.
