Windows Vista = Windows Katrina; a hurricane of marketing hot air that brings very little in the way of visible benefits to Windows users.
Microsoft has never mapped out a strategic vision. Rather than leading the market, it tends to react to the market.
You can buy all the AMD 64 bit chips you want, but HP has repeatedly stated that it has no plans to ship 64 bit drivers for the 64 bit version of Windows XP/Vista/KATRINA.
With the billions in cash reserves that Microsoft has, why don't they sink it into fixing existing product bugs and introducing some truly interesting software rather than Yet Another Version of Windows with an "improved" interface??

Basically Windows Vista should be renamed to Windows Katrina because it is a hurricane of hot air attempting to package minor features as a rich rewarding upgrade. Outside of Yet Another Revamped UI the majority of "features" are items that should have been in Windows years ago. There's nothing new here that the end user will notice or that adds anything to the standard "features" (WordPad, NotePad, etc.) of Windows.
