I've used TugZip for a long time now. I have it on all of my machines and haven't had a problem at all. In fact, it's one of the most thorough and steady pieces of compression software I've used.

Privacy Expert, which looks nice but is super slow. CCleaner is very fast and has a very clean UI. It does allow registry backups by saving changes to a .reg file if you choose to. Restoring a .reg file is as easy as double-clicking it. The fact that it is freeware just adds to the overall greatness of this

Great speed but awful user interface and ergonomics.
Come on you guys, spend some hours reading Windows UI design guide...

that if they used wine or some other and installed word or whatever that they are in violation of the licensing agreement for whatever thats worth :) Just basically means that they couldnt say anything about ms's current activities in validation areas
