Combine this with Irfanview and you got a great pair of digital imaging tools.

+Posh
+Easy to use GUI. I prefer its single button commands like "enter" for full screen instead of alt-enter in Windows Media Player.
+Smoother video display than WMP (tested Naruto, Rozen Maiden).
+Strong audio.
+Screen Capture.
+Audio Capture.
+I like the URL choices that comes with this beta.
+Initializes quickly.
-Pish
-Try opening a file with the alt-click/Open With menu and you won't find AlShow. You'll find two squares on the menu instead. (it's a beta....it's a beta...it's a...I expected more from such a fine video player.)
-Wrong information in ALShow Information box at Setup:
"ABOUT ALSHOW
------------
ALShow is an archive and compression utility and is free for personal, non-commercial home use."
Overall:
A well developed video viewer. Very usable now, yet needs a few more tweaks to make it even better.
4.10.0 Beta (Dec 29, 2005)
Beauty
Lots of configuration options.
Easy to change cool skins.
Lotsa advanced statistics makes it geeky.
Speedy searches and good download interface.
I like the "Monitor" -- incoming searches and upload activities.
Beast
Takes a little long to start up. hmm Java.
FrostWire Media player doesn't work unless you right-click on the audio file in the interface and select "Launch".
Typical Java heaviness.
Skins selector should probably be within Tools...Options box.
It's a neat program that's already well developed and ready for more tweaks. Very usable.
4.10.0 Beta (Dec 31, 2006 - 9:02 PM)

4.10.0 Beta (Jan 25, 2006 - 11:31 AM)
Hey! I can see my house from here!
4.10.0 Beta (Dec 30, 2005 - 12:52 PM)
"The blue windscreen of death."
4.10.0 Beta (Oct 6, 2005 - 12:20 PM)
I have fully encompassed the use of Opera instead of IE and Mozilla-ware. It's a high performing, standards-based browser with plenty of neat, practical features. Nothing against Firefox. Opera seems lighter-weight/quicker. I look forward to seeing more innovations from the Opera team.
4.10.0 Beta (Jan 19, 2005 - 12:23 PM)
It's a great marketing move! Keep in mind, Opera is ALREADY free - just with ads appearing in a corner of the browser. Let's face it: Opera makes a product that NEEDS to make money, or the company dies. They are going to make it the best they can because they are accountable! Thank goodeness for Firefox and Opera, who keep innovations flowing, and make Microsoft accountable, too!
