    Microsoft could succeed in search - but they have to do it by doing something that Google can't do. Most companies need to make money, but Microsoft has money, they would love to take over from Google just for spite. Google shows ads, links to pages with ads, and is the number one target for SEO (search engine optimization) for sites to get their page of ads to be higher in the results than the actual info you wanted to search for. Microsoft could make a search engine that absolutely never shows ads or links to any page with any ads on it. That is the kind of search engine that could really be a game-changer and win over Google.
