I love how every solutions is "Better than MS", yet whole economies have collapsed using these "superior to MS" solutions. MS is dominant for a reason! There are very smart people from many of these competing companies that work at MS and they are there for a reason!

That is a singularly uninformed view! AOL does not have the breadth of products that MS does! AOL does a HORRIBLE job of support and just home hard is it to support the idiots that use AOL!?
Also, the Indians MS is outsourcing to speak English REALLY well. There is a move towards teaching non accented English in India and the program has had amazing/scary results.

Notes is NOT a better product than Exchange for a few good reasons; Office System 2003 has better collaboration features, Digital Rights Management is not even on the radar screen for Notes, IBM has not commitment to continuted development or support of Notes, Exchange developers can leverage ANY .NET language for development, Integration with other MS tools such as Sharepoint. This would have been a contest a few years ago, with Exchange 5.5, but with Exchange 2003, there is not contest. Exchange wins hands down, I have supported cc:Mail, Notes, Exchange 5.5/2000, SMTP mail systems on Linux and various shared file e-mail systems.

One of the main lies/misconceptions/points of ignorance that exist in the Linux community is that Linux and it's available applications are "good enough". The Windows platform provides more that just "good enough" productivity increases. Once people become aware of the tight integration in the apps and learn how to use them the problems with moving to Linux become apparent. Anyone can use a Linux word processor, but can you collaborate on a document on Linux ? Can you send a link to the document with document rights attached ? There are SEVERAL cases for the Windows platform that go way beyond just a features checklist. If the Linux advocates/religious zealots would take the time to learn maybe they wouldn't SCREW their customers/employers/bosses with a less than good enough platform such as Linux.

It does work. I have seen demos of the TabletPC with some of the worst handwriting EVER recognized.
