  1. Review - TuneUp Utilities 2010

    9.0.2010.11 (Nov 16, 2009)

So lets see M/S spends 3 years on pairing down Vista, and then this starts adding them.If it ain't broke don't fix it!

  2. Review - AVG Anti-Virus Free

    9.0.686a1719 (Oct 15, 2009)

All those guys having a go at Reverb,i had something similar on win 7 a week ago when did a scan with Norman malware tool,on a system that was running fine,it started tpo flag up everthing as trojan even run32dll.It reached a point before I stopped it the damage was done, and it had not just quarantined but deleted, had to re-install system. As to AVG used for years till about 2 years ago when the the new version was to much of a resource hog.

  3. Review - PeerBlock Interim Release

    0.9.1 (r71) (Aug 5, 2009)

Been using for a week on Win7,previously the other versions were to flakey sometimes not starting and crashing. The only problem is not been able to get to auto-start.Seems to work well but if blocking all HTTP can cause problems opening some sites,as to be expected.Overal adds a good extra layer of extra security.

  4. Review - ConvertXtoDVD

    3.8.0.193 (Aug 5, 2009)

Having tried all the other converters, this is the easiest and best.Gives really proffesional results with a good selection of templates and lots of simple to change parameters. The only downer is the price, but if used a lot worth every penny.

  5. Review - EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition

    3.0.2 (Feb 25, 2009)

I used the Pro version,to partition for install of Win7.Used a boot disk, very simple to use with no problems. This seems identical except for 64bit use,so for 32 bit uses it is excellent.

  6. Comment - Live report: Will Google Chrome OS change Linux?

    3.0.2 (Nov 21, 2009 - 10:12 AM)

Finally a comment that hits the spot of why Google is developing this O/S.

  7. Comment - Google Chrome in a runaway lead for browser performance supremacy

    3.0.2 (Nov 3, 2009 - 11:08 AM)

Having just re-installed system, and started Firefox and typed in betanews it opened the actual page, did same with Chrome it gave me a list.It can have all the browser speed in the world but without the add ons and the ability to do what's asked,it will always be Foxy for me!

  8. Comment - Our love/hate relationship with Microsoft: What happens now?

    3.0.2 (Oct 25, 2009 - 10:48 AM)

Totally agree PC_Tool...On my 5 year old Dell,it ran XP also like a malnourished dog,no responds and very unresponsive. But now on WIN 7 it takes 1 minute compared to 3,it's like a greyhound on rump steak!

  9. Comment - Mac fanboys should get a life and some Windows 7 common sense

    3.0.2 (Oct 15, 2009 - 11:54 AM)

Everything you say bears more resemblance to Google than M/S.

  10. Comment - It's done: Windows 7 releases to manufacturing

    3.0.2 (Jul 23, 2009 - 7:27 AM)

Phusion-The build doing the rounds is 16385,but the rumour that 16386 was the final has been squashed by this news from M/S.
