Maybe it's just me, but "AT&T CTO John Donovan said his network's data traffic has grown by 4.932% in the two-and-one-half years that it has been the sole US supplier of Apple's iPhone" seems to indicate that if AT&T can't handle a less than 5% increase, they should rethink their strategy.
Although the next statement that the voice traffic has grown by a factor of two seems to indicate that Betanews has made a mistake in the data traffic figure. Is it 49%? 493%? 4,932%?

First, I'd like to offer my condolences for your loss. Second, good article; it brings up a great point about how technology can change life for the better. As Director of IT, it's nice to get refreshers like this to remember that what we take for granted is something a lot of people view with wonder. It's a great idea to look at things from that perspective every once in a while.

"And although e-mails between redacted Dell executives did warn of possible retributions by Intel had their deal not been kept as promised, those same e-mails indicate Dell had other reasons of their own to pursue exclusivity."
What does it mean when a Dell executive is redacted?

"Funnest" is actually a word.

While not commonly used, nor accepted, as evidenced by your comment, it is a legitimate word. Most one syllable adjectives [big, small, fat, thin, sweet, etc...] form the comparative by adding "er" to the end and the superlative by adding "est" to the end.

Kudos to Dell for the turnaround!
This is a somewhat minor point, but the first sentence led to some confusion on my part. My first thought was that Dell earned $16.08 billion BETTER than last quarter, which would have been beyond amazing, but I'm assuming that the statement should be meant to read that Dell earned $16.08 billion OVER THE PERIOD of the most recent quarter.
