   hope we get a linux version soon i have waited ages to gain the knolage to actualy get my webcam working with linux and would like the opertunity to use it more

   Does this affect gaming performance at all? I can *definately* understand how it would increase basic window-drawing performance, but using DX resources would logically limit the remaining performance left for gaming applications."
   
   it does affect performance even the old version did iirc there is an option to disable hyperpaint which was the tech behind it however i have not used windowblinds past 4.3 so i maybe wrong but it is unlikely to get something for nothing

   i wouldn't really care if windows was "better" so long as i can do what i want with linux ie play games chat using msn or msn messenger via Qemu and just have some fun tweaking the system to run rapidly via different window managers ect. few things i would like to know if anyone feels like answering them though:
   were these systems the same?
   did they remember to turn off unneeded features?
   how many times were these risks leading to hacks?
   and what were the features they were trying to add were they windows only software?

   be nice if they had open source so emualtors and the likes could be ported let the opensource community at something like that and they could probably make it useful :)
