  1. Review - NVIDIA PureVideo Decoder (formerly NVIDIA DVD Decoder)

    1.02-223 (Oct 20, 2006)

This decoder is excellent for any Nvidia or non-Nvidia cards, but this is not a new release...

Well the ugly GUI can be disabled by selecting "classic view" option. It'll return back to "normal" windows calculator look.

  4. Review - VIA Hyperion Pro Driver Package

    4.51 Hyperion (Dec 2, 2003)

This time the installation worked flawlessly and no more "Delay Write Error" found on some computers with ATI+4.50 combination.

  5. Review - VIA Hyperion Pro Driver Package

    4.50 Hyperion (Nov 26, 2003)

This driver will conflict with ATI Catalyst 3.9. After you've install this driver, when it just gets into windows (desktop icons loaded, but not the system tray icon) windows will pause like as it have freezed, then it'll tell you that there's "Delayed write error" with all the files that it's trying to load. Sometimes you'll get a BSOD instead of the message above. This have been varified by reinstalling windows XP(with SP1 only, no other updates/drivers/programs). If you're using ATI cards then it's advised to stick with 4.49vp2 for now, until VIA has released a fixed version which works with latest catalyst drivers.

  6. Comment - Apple officially sells unlocked iPhones in Hong Kong

    4.50 Hyperion (Sep 28, 2008 - 5:52 PM)

Sorry just want to make some clarification here. Hong Kong is not a island nation, but rather a Special Administrative Region (SAR) governed by Mainland China.

  8. Comment - Microsoft Frees DirectX 9 Release Candidate

    4.50 Hyperion (Nov 17, 2002 - 6:18 PM)

This release has major problem with VGA mode. The screen will become completely blank after you've uninstalled the video driver. I guess u can't use safe mode then.....(although the system will still boot)
