  1. Review - Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

    1.12 (May 7, 2008)

In response to lurkingatu2 who claims he did not see me downloading the software. Unless I used the same download name and he was part of the administratiuon for this program he couldn't possibly have known I was downloading it!
Just to put him clear, I also received the email from the author hitting out at this website for bad feedback and requesting beta testers to leave positive ones.
Unlike him, I can only leave feedback based on facts - Superantispyware and Spybot are vastly superior to this offering and I am absolutely certain that there will be paid software which is also superior.
I shall shortly reproduce the authors email here, confirming the above.
In addition, there is not a doubt in my mind that the author continues to try and manipulate this forum ( and probably others ).
In my earlier post, I suggested that potential users try this and compare it to the others suggested above and then make up their own minds. This surely, is a fair and just comment. Just what is the author so scared of ? Why did he request others to leave positive ratings ? Could it be that he desperately wants our money for an inferior product ? Why are comments left giving great ratings when I and many others think they are unjustified. Make up your own minds - don't let me or others influence you.

  2. Review - Norton AntiVirus

    2008 (15.5.0.23) (Mar 22, 2008)

It is beyond me how this company gets away with selling this sub standard product. It lets spyware and virii through regularly. To call it anti virus should be against the trade description act.
In the U.K. PC World are now advertising that they sell this program in its shops. Perhaps they are hoping that their customers buy it then have to bring their PCs in to them for repairs ???????

  3. Review - Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

    1.09 (Mar 20, 2008)

I was a beta tester for this program and defended it vigorously thro the beta stages.
It does work but only to a limited extent compared to some other similar programs. After the beta testing was over it was then necessary to pay for the program and frankly, there is no way I would pay for this.
Both the freeware and professional editions of Superantispyware are vastly superior as is Spybot freeware.
As I said earlier, I have defended this program thro its beta testing stages but, as others have indicated, they are sceptical about where some of the comments left here have come from. I now have to admit that I too feel that the comments are being manipulated either by the author or his friends. The program is most definately not as good as some of the comments would indicate.
My impartial advice would be to go for one of the free spyware removal programs I mentioned earlier.
If you must try this program, then run it first then run the others afterwards. I think you will find that the detection rate is far lower than the others.

  6. Comment - Vista SP1 'prerequisites' to gear up systems for auto updates

    7.1.254.000 Beta (Apr 8, 2008 - 4:29 PM)

PC_Tool is the troll. He continually attacks anyone in these forums that dares to have a different opinion from him.
He even admits that his posting here is sarcasm and what does the world say about that, "Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit" !
Skip his postings and hopefully he will disappear in to his hole in the compost heap.

  7. Comment - UK gov't report calls for redundant ratings systems for software

    7.1.254.000 Beta (Mar 30, 2008 - 9:24 PM)

You only have to look at PC_Tools' contributions to see how much the education system where he comes from, is letting people down.
    What a prick !

  8. Comment - Despite rumors, Windows XP SP3 still not quite ready

    7.1.254.000 Beta (Mar 26, 2008 - 7:05 PM)

Why does Pc_tool keep contributing? His aim in life seems to be to only have a go at what someone else has posted especially if they dare to conflict with his views.
Give it up PC_Tool, no one is interested in what you have to say. or better still, change your name to Vista, then we would alll realise you write rubbish.

  9. Comment - Microsoft slashes Windows Vista retail price in surprise move

    7.1.254.000 Beta (Mar 3, 2008 - 11:41 AM)

Does amyone really give a sh*t about PC_Tool's opinion. I certainlay don't. The *YAWN* at the beginning of the post is what we all do when we read his worthless contributions !
