  1. Review - Weather Pulse

    2.2.4.1 (Nov 24, 2009)

The builder has restored the weather alerts and email alerts, all are now working. He also added some new features and the program is now better than ever! Latest version is 2.2.4 build 3.

  2. Review - Weather Pulse

    2.2.3.0 (Sep 23, 2009)

After struggling though all the recent updates and bug fixes 2.2.3 is working OK......HOWEVER, severe weather alerts function still does not work. Developer advises that the fix will require a complete rewrite of the program and offers no time frame, so don't hold your breath.
Every weather app out there has severe alerts, without them the program is worthless.

  3. Review - Weather Pulse

    2.10 Build 12 Beta (Aug 11, 2009)

After downloading 2.10 build 12, severe weather alert option no longer works. NO SUPPORT. Don't waste your time with this program.

  4. Review - Weather Watcher Live

    6.1.1 (Aug 7, 2009)

From what I've been reading at WWL support forums it was The Weather Channel, demanding a huge cut of WWL profits and a separate licensing fee for use of their data, that forced the developer to start charging for this program. This is not the first time TWC has been messing with weather apps that use their data (can you say monopoly).
The developer says that the previous version 6.0.34 will still continue to function as freeware without updates. Since I really do like the program, I have disabled the update checking feature and will continue using 6.0.34 for the time being.

  5. Review - Weather Watcher Live

    6.0.34 (Aug 6, 2009)

emanresU deriseD....you must be psychic....I just got a pop up message today that a new version of Weather Watcher Live is available 6.1.01....seems it no longer "freeware," 30 days to try then $19.95 a year for license. BUMMER!
It's a nice program, but I wouldn't pay for it.
