  1. Comment - Google Starts Tracking Music Trends

    (Aug 17, 2006 - 5:11 PM)

What makes you think that they don't already do that? Maybe they even log every key stroke you make and send it up. And all they did now is give people an excuse to put their guard down since they'll think it's just their music preferences that are being uploaded.

  2. Comment - Microsoft: Vista Most Secure OS Ever

    (Jun 15, 2006 - 11:01 AM)

Vista is a natural progression. XP is a secure OS if you don't do anything that is not risky. As long as you don't go to sites you don't trust, download unknown programs, keep your firewall on, patch you system, etc. you'll be fine.

However, most users don't know any better. So next part of the evolution is the protect the user from themselves. Vista in concept does a good job with this. Only time will tell how well it will work.

You can disable JavaScript in IE. You can even do it bye site where sites on your trusted list still use JS. All this without the need for 3rd party ext. :)

When you have people farm gold then they have a lot more then everybody else. That in itself isn't the problem. It's when you start selling it and it works its way into the economy you have inflation. The same way real economy works. So what ends up happening is that people who play honestly have to work harder to get more hold to be able to buy things in the auction houses.

  5. Comment - WinFX Becomes .NET Framework 3.0

    (Jun 12, 2006 - 5:03 PM)

Because if it didn't programmers would not code a UI in WinFX. They'd use a traditional UI implementation. Why would anybody code something that only works on Vista?
