   Review - nLite

   0.98.7 Beta (Aug 11, 2004)

   Nice little program. Slipstreamed XP SP2 Final onto it super easy and I was able to drop all the fluff from the OS. Got a nice little 255 mb install disc. just need to back up my documents and junk before I do a fresh install. Can't wait!
   
   One thing I would like to see is a utility to slipstream RAID drivers onto the disk. I've seen other How-to's and they tend to be a little too involved for me.

2. Comment - EU Council Passes Software Patent Law

   From what I understand if a company can prove they invented some sort of thing such as the scroll bars on the right hand side of this browser they can force a company using scrollbars to pay or else drop scrollbars from their software.
   
   Thing is every single piece of software on every platform uses scrollbars and I can't see a judge forcing every software company in Europe to pay to use such a ubiquitous technology.
   
   From what I understand there are dozens of such pending patents for very common things we all use daily on our computers. How can something like that be legitimately enforced?

   Now that google's monopolising part of Firefox's development teams time there isn't time to get updates finished?
   Damn him for getting paid for his services instead of working for free on Firefox. DAMN HIM!!!
