  1. Review - Paint.NET (Beta)

    3.50.3424.34110 Alpha (May 19, 2009)

The changelog still does not show a "magnetic lasso tool".
I will not even try this new version.

  2. Review - 7-Zip (32-bit)

    9.03 Alpha (May 4, 2009)

    @ zarggg

Or we have to wait until an archive-genius writes a thorough windows-DLL instead of all these stupid programs with their own stupid user interfaces.

  3. Review - 7-Zip (32-bit)

    9.02 Alpha (Apr 23, 2009)

What I would like is :
If I double-click (open) an archive file, then it should be opened in Windows Explorer instead if in the 7-Zip interface.

Well, I have only got extremely blunt answers from him that didn't help me at all.

    Great program.
    Worth a 5 !!

  6. Comment - Is 'XP Mode' in Windows 7 something you'd want to use?

Is 'XP Mode' in Windows 7 something you'd want to use?

    NO WAY !

    Windows XP is history !

  8. Comment - Windows 7 testers should upgrade their IE8

    6.2.289 (Feb 25, 2009 - 2:00 PM)

MS is playing games with it's addicts, the people that really love MS.
IE8 is a misfire sofar, and it is by far not ready for prime time.
And why is that ? MS is not listening/believing half of what the MS-lovers are telling about the problems they have with this IE8.

  9. Comment - EC to Microsoft: We may still fine you

    6.2.289 (Feb 25, 2009 - 4:35 AM)

MS should disentagle IE from Windows, that's all !
IE should be a program, an applications, not an entangled part of the OS.
At installation time, the user could then be asked if he/she wants to install the IE application or not.

    Thus :
    - IE "bundled" with Windows is OK.
    - IE entangled into Windows is not OK.
Everybody happy : the user, competition, EU, etc...

  10. Comment - PDC 2008: Windows 7 will add a 'volume knob' to UAC

    6.2.289 (Oct 31, 2008 - 12:07 PM)

UAC should understand when I allow an application to run on my machine.
The next time I start that same application, UAC should keep quite.
