Actually, he has a valid point.
Spiderman 3, a fairly high profile release, was on 2 discs. The 50gb 'main feature' disc was clogged with so many audio tracks that a second disc was required for special features.
The secondary disc for digital copies is, to the best of my knowledge, a fairly new add-on. Don't get me wrong, it's still a welcome one.

It takes a serious set of cojones to ridicule someone's reading comprehesion, when something as simple as proper grammar eludes you.
"you're English teacher deserves a medal for your reading comprehension skills..."

Wow...Sony's gaming division turned a profit in Q1 this year? Interesting. It would seem that they've only got a few million dollars to go then.

For anyone who doesn't wish to follow a click thru, I'll summarize: According to industry analysts and insiders, Sony has spent more money manufacturing and selling the PS3 (which is less than 2 years old, mind you), than they made during the PS2's most profitable period.
Seems that 'profit' in Q1 is little more than a fart in a hurricane...

You forgot to point out that for all of the supposed limitations, which you pointed out, it still managed to display audio and video on par with anything the 'superior' blu-ray disc has. I seem to remember something about it offering features and interactivity (when it launched) that blu-ray needed a year+ to get to the public.
Since it won the 'war', I've bought exactly 3 blu-ray discs, and my HD DVD player still gets more use.
On topic with the article: If Toshiba can provide more than a marginal upscaling performance, I might have to check this out.

What a shock...Blu-ray is the only HD format on the market, and it's still not 'ready for prime time'...
