  1. Comment - Mac fanboys should get a life and some Windows 7 common sense

    (Oct 14, 2009 - 1:00 AM)

The only reason I ever pulled this site up was for some sense of professional news in tech. For this site to run an article like this shows the lack of professionalism. Windows has a place in life and so does MAC. Linux has it's place too. This is like a Microsoft commercial on tv. This is not beta*news*. This is not news. This is an advertisement. One in poor taste in my opinion. This website may be a pro-Microsoft site but, MAC is just as much a part of the big picture.

  2. Comment - House Republicans in uncharacteristic unison over 'one-size-fits-all' net neutrality

    (Oct 6, 2009 - 8:30 PM)

The problem with MagicJack is the computer it's plugged into....NOT cable. The odds are better that any problem experienced with Vonage would have more to do with actual problems and less about ISP controls.

Be careful what you ask for....
Washington is not in it for the people....they are in it for themselves. What difference does it make if the right is for it? The right has no power at this time.

  4. Comment - P2P warning bill passes House committee, will go to the floor

    (Oct 5, 2009 - 8:10 AM)

"Imagine all your tax returns, medical records, family photos, your resume, professional records, online bill information, and anything else available to complete strangers," Rep. Bono posited in a May 5 editorial for The Hill. "Does this frighten you? It should."

As if this isn't the case already....WITHOUT P2P!!!

  5. Comment - Inside Office Web Apps: Is it good enough to be called 'Excel?'

    (Sep 25, 2009 - 9:15 PM)

I see the screenshot and I still see a "spreadsheet". If we are talking about methods of input or display, Excel97 had the ability to show graphs and pie charts aswell as pulling data from other sources. If you want to call it something else then fine. I just think it's interesting that's people don't see it as a spreadsheet when that is exactly how Excel starts. I just don't see that it makes any difference where the data comes from or how it's displayed when it comes to calling it a spreadsheet or not. I mean, that's like forgetting the back end HTML of a webpage is called HTML. Why not call it "the back end" and completely stop using the HTML name even though a huge number of non-HTML things could also be in the back end? I guess it doesn't really matter anyway.
