Wrong, jackass.
If everyone thought like me, music would be public domain and people would pay good money to go to concerts and buy band-related merch.
At the very least tracks would run a few pennies each and CD's would go for a whopping $2.00.
Don't tell me what things would be like if it were up to me. You don't know jack sh*t about me.
Companies are worried about their stranglehold on the market. They're concerned that their old ways are no longer producing the income they'd expected. They're worried they might actually have to change their business model. They couldn't really give two sh*ts about me and mine, the lawsuits are just a side-effect.

MS is a multi-Billion dollar company.
If they want to come after me for $199, more power to 'em.
I think theys got better things to worry about than little ol' me.
Same goes for just about any "popular" artist or software company.
How much money do you make on something you did 10 years ago? Why should anyone pay for Elvis tunes now? He's friggin' DEAD.
