I give it 4+ because it is the best program of it's type I've seen to date. It deserves better than 4, but not 5 in my opinion.
1.6.4.1 (Apr 29, 2008)
I am currently using version 1.6.3 so this speaks about that.
I have been using Axcrypt for single file encryption several years now, always with good results.
Something I don't see in the homepage of Axcrypt is a version changes list. It appears that all of the features listed in 1.6.4 I already have in 1.6.3.
Perhaps the release is correcting bugs, although I have never encountered any.

If your looking for a simple to use, highly effective, and free way to store text in "tree format" nodes, this is possibly THE best answer.
If after you try this free version, you like it but want better, I recommend checking out Treepad Safe, Treepad Business Edition, and Treepad X Enterprise.
6.0c (Aug 24, 2007)
Speaking of version 6.0b:
A very good to excellent program, and free. A hard to beat combination.
0.18.1b (Aug 15, 2007)
I'm currently using version 0.16.something. It works fairly well. Version 0.17.something seemed not to work as well, but I may not have given it enough of a try.
You really need a companion helper/editor program like JellyFish Pro to get decent use of freeBasic.
