I agree with fyrewalll. Accuweather can be quirky. Even now I still get a popup warning of a thunderstorm that was cancelled a couple of hours ago. I have also seen "Sunny" late at night etc. but don't get me wrong, I love this handy little program but it does need a little work. I also like the radar but I wouldn't mind seeing it at least twice the current size.
5.1 (Sep 1, 2005)
Nice program but I don't care much for the nag screen, other than that it's a fine program.
1.0 Beta (Sep 1, 2005)
Looks interesting but crashed (General Exception)when started.
1.2 Beta (Jul 3, 2005)
Looks like it might be a good program but I get an error telling me that I'm missing "mtxclu.dll" which is already installed in my system.
If I can get it to work I'll look at upgrading my review of the program. I also tried their website but it was way to sloooow this morning.

Great program! I did, however encounter an odd problem that should be addressed. I use WeatherBug and I would like to keep it. During AimHack setup I told the program that I didn't need/want WeatherBug (I already had it installed). Sadly, after installing AimHack it had deleted WeatherBug from my system forcing me to reinstall. Perhaps a warning/choice could be given to keep WeatherBug if already installed?

It's really a shame that the company had crashed and burned. I worked for them back in the early to mid 90's when CC was the big dog to fear.
Richard Sharp had it right. Low debt, pay in cash; a lean mean selling machine. Now he's collecting the cash hawking Croc's! :)
What really killed CC is simple. They got rid of the appliances (read: buyers with disposable income), remodel stores but forget to mention it (buyers thought cc went bankrupt) then destroy your dedicated commissioned sales force.
Being commissioned meant knowing your stuff frontwards and backwards so that when customers came in they knew we had our stuff down cold. Letting them go said to John Q. Public "Hey, we are know every bit as knowledgeable as the electronics guy at Wal-Mart."
Oh and don't forget about the tired old store format that looked great in the early to mid 90's but dated in the last 10 years.
I'm nostalgic but I don't feel sorry for them. They just got what they dished out when they were the new kid on the block putting one chain after another out of business when they came to town.
So, I'll put my cheesy little acrylic CC "Sales Excellence" award for 1995 back in the attic and think about what might have been. ;)

Well, it sure has been a while since that day. It wasn't as incredible as DOS to 3.1 but it was soo cool to see the OS running. I sold tons of the machines just for the sleek looking desktop. It was nice but it sure did crash a lot! I think the first one I sold was a Blue Chip, what a dog!

Okay, here's my take on the situation. I like music, I hate the prices and artist gotta get paid. So, here's what I do. I buy all my music at second hand stores, garage sales and used music stores. I don't find the new stuff there but that's okay, I'll wait a year or so then I'll get my music at the above sources.
It wasn't that long ago that I bought 3 cd's of current music for less than 3 bucks each at the Goodwill. The aritst has been paid, I get music and charity makes a nice profit. Win-win-win!
I do this because downloading is a crapshoot in terms of quality. As for downloading movies, it takes to long for me, (cable modem) so forget it. I can rent a movie at Movie Gallary for $1.99/7 days and if I really want the movie, I'll hit the nearst pawnshop and buy it for $3.50 at near new condition. That's my view and no, I don't work a charity, pawnshop, used media store or movie rental store. :)
