   Review - Google Chrome for Windows

   I downloaded Chrome from Google's software list page. It loaded and runs perfect. Yes its different, but thats the point. I would like the bookmarks to be available somewhere when the bookmark toolbar is turned off. So far I haven't had any problems. It seems to be a bit faster than IE, but thats just my impression.

   Review - Google Earth for Windows

   4.3.7204 Beta (May 9, 2008)

   While the maps are a bit out of date, the killer here is the readout along the bottom of the display. Numbers pop up and down, the ground elevation does pretty much what it wants to, there are odd 200's near the bottom of the display, the Lat/Lon throws in a 2 once in a while. I'll go back a few revs.

   I'm giving the author a 4, thats a 5 for origionality and effort, and -1 for wasting all that effort. There is even a fairly well done web page. Someone has way too much time on their hands. Spend some of this effort actually meeting girls. Lot more satisfying than creating this. And I too didn't download it. I don't think my wife would understand.

   I tried this version 9, and wasn't really impressed. While it looks 'pretty' I didn't see any huge improvement. They say its smaller, but not being a power user type, I didn't see much advantage. I went back to version 8.1, and will probably stay with it. I didn't like the greyed out names, for friends that don't have pictures. Other than that it functions pretty much the same.
