  1. Review - Opera for Windows

    9.50 Build 9523 Alpha 2 (Sep 14, 2007)

Nice to see APNG coming to Opera

  2. Review - SeaMonkey for Windows

    1.1.2 (May 30, 2007)

While the Mozilla Foundation provides infrastructure for the Seamonkey project, they in no way provide official support or development resources for it (outside of the command Gecko backend that all Mozilla apps share). It is not in any way, shape, or form an official Mozilla project.

  3. Review - RyanVM's Windows XP Post-SP2 Update Pack

    2.1.8 (Mar 21, 2007)

gauchedude - Feel free to correspond with me...

  4. Review - Mozilla Firefox for Windows (v2)

    2.0.0.3 (Mar 20, 2007)

How do you figure that Seamonkey is more secure than Firefox when they're build of the exact same Gecko core?

  5. Review - Mozilla Firefox for Windows (v3)

    3.0 Alpha 2 (Feb 8, 2007)

ModderXManiac - Tamarin's not coming until Gecko2, which will be the backend for Fx4.
aredo - A lot of the bugs you're referring to have fundamental flaws which need to be addressed. If they were simple fixes, they'd already be fixed. That said, Fx3 is making a LOT of backend changes which should make fixing bugs like those easier to do.

That being said, Fx3 is still shaping up to be an awesome release.

  6. Comment - Before it can tackle Windows, Chrome must leave Safari in the dust

    3.0 Alpha 2 (Jul 10, 2009 - 9:53 PM)

Firefox should get a lot faster on the V8 suite when they support recursive tracing (hopefully in time for Firefox.next).

  7. Comment - More speed to come from the first Firefox 3.6 alpha

    3.0 Alpha 2 (Apr 23, 2009 - 6:13 PM)

That scoring system is so arbitrary and subjective that it's entirely worthless.

  8. Comment - Code-frozen Firefox 3.5 beta gains 4% more speed against Chrome 2

    3.0 Alpha 2 (Apr 17, 2009 - 9:31 PM)

"some of whom, admittedly, are the very same people"

And who would those people be? AFAIK, the developers with Mozilla roots working on Chrome all stopped coding for Mozilla awhile ago.

  9. Comment - Apple Safari 4 beta raises the bar for speed, compliance

    3.0 Alpha 2 (Feb 26, 2009 - 6:30 PM)

Uh, ms is the unit for milliseconds, not microseconds. But it's no big deal - you're only off by a factor of 1000 :-)

(Seriously, do you guys proofread at all?)

  10. Comment - Mozilla developers readying one more beta cycle for Firefox 3.1

    3.0 Alpha 2 (Nov 27, 2008 - 12:48 PM)

BTW, the author this article COMPLETELY blew what speculative parsing is. Kinda makes you wonder how credible the rest of the article is when he gets the basic facts wrong...
